Berkshire
  Berkshire was visited four times by Clarenceux King of Arms or his deputies, as follows:-
  1532    - Thomas Benolte
  1566    - William Harvey
  1623    - Henry Chitting (Chester Herald) and John Philipott (Rouge Dragon Pursuivant*) for William Camden
  1665    -  Elias Ashmole (Windsor Herald) for Sir Edward Bysshe
 * Rouge Dragon Pursuivant of Arms in Ordinary is a junior officer of the College of Arms, named after the red dragon    of Wales
In 1907 The Harleian Society published transcripts of the four Visitations of Berkshire. The work consists of two volumes taken directly from original manuscripts held in the British Museum and the Bodleian Library.
